BOLIVAR, Mo. — ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù student Jamie Abbott of Springdale, Ark., was honored by the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for October 2016.

University Libraries’ faculty and staff established the monthly award to recognize outstanding employment characteristics – dependability, quality of work, motivation, attitude and cooperation – demonstrated by the student assistants employed at the library.

Abbott, an intercultural studies major, received an award letter from Dr. Edward W. Walton, dean of University Libraries, a certificate of recognition and a gift. Abbott is a student assistant in the circulation department and is one of the 30 part-time student assistants working at the library as a part of ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù’s work-study program.
