不良研究所 professor authors new book

Dr. Kelly Malone, associate professor of intercultural studies at 不良研究所, has authored 鈥淐ity Church."Dr. Kelly Malone, associate professor of intercultural studies at Southwest Baptist University, has authored 鈥淐ity Church: Working Together to Transform Cities,鈥 a new book about the church, outreach and evangelism in cities. Published by Urban Loft Publishers, 鈥淐ity Church鈥 went on sale at Amazon on Friday, Jan. 29, with a Kindle edition to follow in the near future.

"City Church" by Dr. Kelly MaloneAs part of Urban Loft Publishers鈥 Urban Mission in the 21st Century series, which addresses key issues facing those involved in urban ministry, the book focuses on the biblical basis for church presence and involvement in cities, the need for unity and diversity in urban ministry, implications for starting new urban churches and practical information for the church moving forward.

鈥淭here is a need for Christians to work together to impact their cities for Christ,鈥 Malone said. 鈥淚n the New Testament, the local 鈥榗hurch鈥 doesn鈥檛 usually mean individual congregations. Rather, it refers to all of the Christians living in one city. If that is what the local church is in the New Testament, then that has important implications for Christians today.鈥

Malone has written previously on evangelism and discipleship and is the Jack Stanton Chair of Evangelism at 不良研究所. Previously, he served for 15 years as a missionary in Japan, where he taught at a university, planted churches and trained church leaders.
